Mommy wow! I'm a big kid now

Last week, although it felt like I was being dragged across the coals for most of it, wasn't a total loss. I realized that I need to grow up, and I need to grow up fast.

This week I've successfully gone to the DMV to try to get my learner's permit (unfortunately I forgot my i.d. and everything important) which resulted in me searching high and low for my birth certificate, but also making me feel more grown up for doing it myself, with the help of Brooke.

After coming up empty handed from my dive into the unknown abyss of my basement, trying to find my birth certificate, I decided to call Taylor Andrew's Institute of Hair Design to see if I can get a tour of the place. So I went today with my good friend Sarah and I can't tell you how awesome that place is! And if I act now I can pay $9,500 for tuition instead of the original $14,000. Awesome right? Once again, I organized most of this by myself, with the help of Sarah.

Tomorrow I'm going to call more beauty schools and ask for tours and what-not but right now it's looking like I'm gonna go to Taylor Andrews.

I feel really proud of myself. Not only am I growing up, but I'm also getting more responsible with my school work. I guess it could be the intense case of senioritis that's been creeping up on me lately.

Moral of the story: Even though you may feel like you're living in your own personal hell, there's always something (no matter how miniscule) to make it better.
