Crimbus!

Christmas was totally awesome this year, even though it was just me, my momma, my awesome grandma, and my awesome aunt and uncle. I felt so funny. Here I am, 18 years old, and every present I got from my mom was Disney Princess (mainly Belle of course), and I loved every single thing. I'm glad to hear that everyone else had a good Christmas too!

So I'm kinda behind on going to the movies, or even hearing about good ones, and tomorrow my mom and I are planning on seeing one. She didn't like the Twilight books, so that's out of the question. The only other ones that look good right now are Australia and Marley and Me. Does anyone have any input on which to go see?

Awesome

I think I have one of the more pointless existing blogs, but they're fun for me. I'm feeling happy and it's awesome! My sickness is finally abating, I'm doing better in school (even though I am a little stressed out), and Christmas is here! Here's why Christmas is awesome in my eyes.

- I'm nostalgic, so childhood memories everywhere is totally awesome
- I love the snow! I don't care much for the cold, but when the snow comes in fully I will be elated
- I love seeing my family so happy and being able to be part of the source of their happiness
- I get to show the people I care for the appreciation they deserve, even though some of them are still a little abused. I still care for them, but there's not much I can do to help, being moneyless and short on time. Which is a little bit of a setback to my happiness
- I get to sleep in, and still work on school so I'm not driving myself crazy, but still not stressing out
- SUGAR COOKIES!!
- Hot drinks when it's cold
- Wearing my comfortable winter clothes, which are freakin cute too (total bonus)
- Watching movies with friends and family is way more fun in the winter for some reason, probably because you're inside where it's warm
- I've learned new words that make me sound intelligent haha

This is why Christmas/winter is so awesome. If any of you are feeling down, I recommend remembering what you're happy for. It's pretty therapeutic, a little cheesy maybe, but totally worth it :)

How many times is this gonna happen?

It's a mystery, that's for sure. I got tonsillitis, for the 5th time this year. Then Saturday it turned into a fever, and today it turned into a cold. Before I got the fever I called an ear/throat/nose specialist, on my very own (how grown up do I feel). How obnoxious is it that my appointment is over a month away? Very. But I'm probably gonna get these suckers ripped out and then I'm gonna live on ice cream, broth, and yogurt for a while. Awesome. We should celebrate tonsillitis everyday! Psyche.

Hike School

Well I'm not out of high school yet but I'm bored and don't want to do homework yet haha. Don't get mad at me because I've already finished three packets this week!


1. Did you date someone from your school? Yup, and two not from my school but I was stupid

2. What kind of car did you drive? I don't want to talk about it

3. Were you a party animal? When I wasn't grounded I was out playing a lot. I've grown up so much haha

4. Were you considered a flirt? I doubt it

5. Were you in band, orchestra or choir? Bella Voce, the Bella Voce and A Capella, the Ladies A Capella, then Voice Tec. I miss choir dearly

6. Were you a nerd? Probably in some ways. I like playing chess, just not with Rich because he wins every time

7. Were you on any varsity teams? Haha no, I'm too lazy sadly

8. Did you get suspended/expelled? Nope, never have

9. Can you still sing the fight song? I never knew it in the first place, just bits and pieces

10. Who were your favorite teachers? Probably Mr. Fong, his class was awesome

11. Where did you sit during lunch? By the school store or at someone's house

12. What was your school's full name? Mountain View High School and now East Shore High School

13. School mascot? Bruin but now it's a Mustang

14. If you could go back and do it again, would you? I would probably do it better, if I had to

15. What do you remember most about graduation? um....how excited I am for it haha

16. What did you do for senior skip day? Does someone want to tell me when senior skip day is?

17. Were you in any clubs? Not so much. You could probably count Voice Technique as a club because that's what it felt like

18. Have you gained weight since then? I gain weight, I lose weight, I don't know what's up with my body sometimes

19. Who was your prom date? Never been to prom

20. Are you planning on going to your 20-year reunion? Rich if you don't go with me I'm probably gonna end up going, especially if there's nothing to do. Well, maybe not because I don't like a lot a people from Mountain View and I don't know a lot of people from East Shore. I'm so lame

So I haven't posted a bulletin for a while, and I guess it's because I hate to complain online and that's all I feel like doing right now. I just am I completely overwhelmed, to the point where it's not funny. I wish I had a shoulder to cry on right now, and when I think about that I keep thinking about more negative stuff and it's driving me crazy. I can't wait for Christmas, I'll still be stressed like none other but it's the only time of year when I can be happy, pretty much no matter what, especially this year. *sigh* Hello reality! I find it hard to believe my mom when she tells me I'm such a strong person when I handle things so badly. Does anyone have any advice? Or can someone just come pat me on the back and say "aww poor baby"? I think I need it.

So I'm back from Disneyland and it was the happiest 4 days of my life. I'll put pictures up tomorrow, I'm just dead tired right now.

I'm such a softie

So in a couple hours, I am going to be on my way to Disneyland! What the Thomas family has done for me is basically the nicest thing anyone has done for me. They're making a dream come true, and restored my faith in people in one swift move. Now every time I think of Disneyland it won't be polluted by broken promises. Yay! Thank you Dave, Naomi and Wichowd :) and I'm sorry to everyone else. I promise I'm not trying to brag.

Disneyland!!

So today I was going about my business as usual when it hit me, I'm going to Disneyland! Sometimes it still feels a little like it's just a dream, that it's not really happening, but I'm actually going this time. All my debts are payed off, my mom got me plenty of Disney stuff to prepare me, I got my camera so I can put pictures up like everyone else and feel cool, yet it still feels like a dream. It's gonna be freakin amazing to wake up in about 2 weeks, and actually see everything work out. I'm so stoked :)

Great

So I got a fever Wednesday night, yeah that's like the 5th time this year I've gotten one. No joke. So now I'm feeling frustrated, lethargic, and a little weary physically and mentally. And whether I'm sick or not, I am going to Rancid on Tuesday! All I have to say now is thank heaven for Calvin and Hobbes and hot bathes to get me through this, again and I hope everyone else is doing better than me right now.

So I can't really think of anything to write except maybe just a catch-up for those of you who are constantly on the edge of your seats, waiting to know what's happened in my life.

I couldn't stand working at PGM so now I work at Pizza Hut, which isn't half as bad as you would think, but probably just because I'm working with 3 of my friends already, and Rich is gonna be working with me sometime soon too :)

Monday's the first day of school at my new school, East Shore, which I'm actually looking forward too. I love a new challenge. And my mom also starts her new teaching job. Yay!

Rancid is playing in The Venue in Salt Lake 3 days before my birthday! Someone must love me.

Rich and Allen are probably gonna be playing a show for my birthday, because I have the coolest boyfriend and the coolest friends ever.

I'm a hero

So yesterday, I was driving with Rich and we almost hit a puppy! It was just kinda standin there in the road, almost getting hit by like 7 more cars, and it was scared stiff so it wasn't going anywhere. So when we were stopped at the light (which takes forever to change anyway) I got out of the car, started walking towards the dang thing so I could move it, and then it ran back to it's house. I'm a total hero.

p.s. Alex, this is so you know that humanity isn't going completely downhill

Serenity now!

So for some reason I just feel like saying that right now, even though things are a little hectic for me, I'm finally feeling good about it. I've finally found my serenity. Thanks everyone, even if you don't know it you've all had a part to play in it, so don't be cheap on yourself. I mean come on, this is a reason to totally go splurge, maybe even buy yourself some nice bubbly (sparkling apple cider you sicko). Thanks everyone.

p.s. Yard sale at my house tomorrow and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We have some cool stuff, and brazilian lemonaid!

Oh my!

Honestly, I think Dark Knight was one of the best movies ever. Too bad it's probably gonna be one of those movies that everyone takes way over board so it gets old but for now, I'm totally lovin it.

Summer complaints

So I'm sitting here thinking summer is supposed to be pretty laid-back and whoop-dee not (just made that up, ah thank you), and then I realize "holy crap I am one stressed out little chick." 1- I find out my dad's leaving to San Antonio, so I'm probably gonna be having to find lots of money for plane tickets. 2- I'm supposed to be going to Disnelyand (YAY!!) in October but, of course I need to find money. 3- I'm almost 18, which just totally blows my mind making me think of how grown up I'm gonna be. 4- and finally we're supposed to be having a yard sale (come check it out, we might have some cool stuff) so I have to go through all of my stuff to see what I do and don't want to keep, which is unfortunate because I tend to be quite the pack-rat. If anyone knows of any job openings, tell me please! I hope everyone else's summer is goin dandy!

Sick-ee

So on Monday night I was hanging out with Rich and I started feeling pretty...not healthy. I wake up Tuesday and I'm feeling horrible. I was cold, achy, hungry but couldn't eat because I also felt like I was gonna puke. Yup, you guessed it, I had a fever. So the next day I still have it a little but it's not as bad, but then along comes the sore throat. I've been constantly getting better and better except my throat so my mom forces me to go to the doctor today and he told me that I don't have strep or anything, but he's gonna give me medicine anyway. So far it's not horrible, it just kinda makes me want to puke and I'm a wee bit tired. Yay for sick weeks!

So I thought the movie was really cute and I loved it. It's a movie that will most likely make you start thinking about the economy and whatnot, but all in all I loved it. There's my view for those of you that wanted to know!

Too much time to think

One "wise" man once said that you shouldn't follow your dreams, you should do what gets you money. Am I so terrible to not agree with that. I probably shouldn't say anything until I'm living in a box, but I would be happy if I were doing what I really wanted to do, and I lived in a shabby little apartment, living off food stamps, if I were actually doing what I wanted to be doing. Is that such a crime to feel that way? Or am I being naive? Just venting.

My "true talent" adventure

So some talent people from Tru Talent Management in Salt Lake came up to me and Rich and told us we're both good looking people (yeah we're hot haha) and asked us if we wanted to be extras in High School Musical 3 or the remake of Footloose. I was all up for it, getting paid 83 buckaroos a day for eating and sitting around, I'm totally down. So I went up to the Tru Talent building in Salt Lake, had an interview, did a "cold read" from a random script, and talked about virgos haha. After a while I figured out that I didn't even need to do any of that to be an extra, they were trying to convince me to sign up for some acting, which in the end would cost about $2000. So I said nah to the whole idea and now I'm going to apply to BBSI. What a waste of a Monday.

Today

So uh apparently you don't have to go to a talent agency to be an extra in a movie. That's a whole day of being nervous waisted and 1/4th of an ulcer developed. I worry too much haha. Well there's my moral of the day. Peace out.

i had an idea for what to do for a blog

Ok so last night I had a supa weird dream. I guess it was me and my family going on a hike by a river with lots of trees and waterfalls and junk, and there were like 2,000 clues but we had to find them and we got to 1,999 and couldn't find the last one. Well there's this freakin fox thing following us and keeps coming up to me specifically and whispering in my ear, "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?", so I just kept ignoring it. After a while I'm like, "Wait, that's probably a clue" so I think about it and I'm like, "The next clue is zero, we're done!" And so I explain to everyone that the answer is zero because woodchuck's can't throw wood. I wonder if dreams really do have messages, because if so I'll never talk to a fox.
